Works of art manufactured at Kemco include numerous works for Richard Deacon. Richard Deacon has occupied the foreground of British sculpture since the 1980's. His virtuoso constructions in wood or metal range in scale from the domestic to the monumental, their structure recalling both engineering and anatomy. The forms he creates evoke the material world of everyday artefacts and the inner world of the body, as site of sensuality, of memory and language. Born in Wales, Richard Deacon studied in London where he continues to live and work. He has exhibited at the Serpentine, Whitechapel and Tate Galleries in Britain, where he was awarded the Turner Prize in 1987. Here are some examples of Richard Deacon's work, manufactured by Kemco.
